▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀Edit. Oh my, a Daily Deviation. I would never have thought in a million years.
Thankyou very much! I am humbled.
Sorry for the long silence, Ive been busy with college and haven't really been on for the last few months.
However, I have been busy in that time and made this wee beastie.
For my final 3D project, I wanted to try something I'd never really done before. I had found a tutorial here on deviantart on how to make art dolls, and decided to give it a go. Truthfully, It was a pain in the ass.
Getting the pattern and wings right, not to mention balance and weight issues, It was pretty much trial and error through the whole process.
I did eventually manage to get it right, and I am very pleased with the results.
It will be shown at my college's art exhibition tomorrow night along with some of my other work. I'm quite nervous about it
I'd like to thank Magweno
for her lovely tutorial. It was very helpful with getting the pattern/wadding right. And is thanks to her I made my first art doll.
Please go have a look at her work, It is really amazing!
---All hand made. The head and feet were made with super sculpey. The body is made with a wire armature - Padded and soft with faux fur - Making it fully poseable. The eyes are hand-painted glass cabochons. The wings are a soft fleece, and the neck and tail are adorned with rooster feathers.▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
